COPIES OF DOCUMENTS STORED ELECTRONICALLY AT THE COURT: 

To obtain copies of documents filed on and after August 1, 2002, you have the options below.

1.  Copy of Discharge Order Only

A copy of a discharge order can be requested electronically. 

2.  Internet

Documents, which have been electronically imaged, can be accessed on the internet via the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) program.  Contact the PACER Service Center at www.pacer.uscourts.gov  or at 1-800-676-6856 for information about obtaining a PACER account. 

3.  Visit the Clerk's Office

During regular business hours, you may obtain copies of any non-restricted documents in cases filed after August 1, 2002, by coming to the Clerk's Office public intake area in the Community Trust Bank Building, 100 E. Vine St., Suite 200, Lexington, KY, or by utilizing the public terminals available in each District Court location.  

Copies of pleadings filed in electronic cases can be printed from our public terminals for $.10 per page.  Uncertified copies made by court personnel are $.50 per page.  

4.  Mail a request to the Clerk's Office

If you mail a copy request to the Bankruptcy Court, the copy fee is $0.50 per page. Please contact the Clerk’s Office in advance to determine the number of pages associated with your request (859) 233-2608.

Each written request should include:

• the debtor's name and case number;
• the documents requested;
• your name (if you are not the debtor) and the address where the documents should be mailed, and
• a cashier's check or money order made payable to "Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court"
